Peter Xie: Causes of the Peloponnesian War

PeloponnesianWar

The Military History Society of NSW Inc. presents
Peter Xie
Causes of the Peloponnesian War

The growth of the power of Athens, and the alarm which this inspired in Lacedaemon, made war inevitable

Peter Xie (MHSNSW member), will outline a list of causes for the breakout of The Peloponnesian War. The complexity of the pre-war geo-political conditions, the formation of the two powerful Alliances in conflict (i.e. The Peloponnesian League, The Delian League) will be the focus of his deliberation.
